The specially developed Delta Core technology in the Comfort Light S.I. is an innovative approach to reducing the weight and mass of the polyurethane foam core of the self-inflating sleeping mats. Our patented manufacturing process for punching out the Delta Cores reduces the original volume of the PU foam by 40% and allows the weight and pack size of the sleeping mat to be minimized as much as possible.

Another advantage of this technology is that the upper and lower joints between the outer material and the PU foam are glued together without any gaps. This ensures even thermal insulation along the entire length of the sleeping mat, avoids cold bridges and reduces the risk of delamination.

The shape and size of the Delta Cores are adapted along the different diameters of the mats to ensure strength and durability, while still allowing the user to enjoy the full benefits of a foam mat.
