Long weekends are made for being outside – with the whole family or just a few friends. The Grand Illusion IV is a simple, spacious dome tent for four people.

The tent has a very spacious sleeping cabin and an almost equally large vestibule. The vestibule serves as a living room, kitchen or dining area, or storage for bikes and luggage.

The Fast Pitch system makes it quick and easy to pitch the tent, so you can settle in earlier and relax for the evening. And the Real Dome technology makes it very wind stable and very spacious. Two large windows provide plenty of natural light in the vestibule, which has a homely feel even when the doors are closed. Four internal storage pockets keep your gear neat and tidy.

Real Dome Technology
In order to achieve better use of space and greater stability in our dome tents, we have developed the principle of Real Dome technology for dome tents. Due to the special pole system

Real Dome tents also withstand strong winds and the use of space in the head area has been improved. The tents are very quick and easy to pitch.

Real Dome (RD) technology uses different pole diameters arranged opposite each other (Reverse Combination Pole). The poles are set more steeply into the ground, making the roof area more stable than with conventional dome tents. The innovative Dac Fast Pitch tent component system makes tent pitching easier and faster and also increases ground stability.

The advantages at a glance:
1. Stability in strong winds: Due to the different pole diameters, the tent can withstand strong winds, keeps its shape longer and withstands prevailing forces better.
2. Space utilisation: Due to steeper angled poles despite a smaller footprint, the available space can be better utilised.
3. Tent construction: Due to the self-supporting, free-standing dome construction, tent setup is extremely simple.

The elimination of PFC’s from our collection is one of our heartfelt concerns. PFC’s (per- and polyfluorinated chemicals) are surface-active substances that have water- and grease-repellent properties and are therefore mainly used in waterproof jackets and pants. Since it is not clear which PFC’s are “good” (i.e. degradable) and which are “bad”, we have decided to make our entire collection PFC-free. We are already very close to achieving this goal: already all of our apparel products and gear are 100% PFC-free.
