Insulated jugs can be found in almost every household. Whether classically made of stainless steel or plastic in bright colors – in numerous different shapes they are real eye-catchers on the table set with coffee mugs, porcelain dishes and cakes. Because their insulating effect guarantees delicious and, above all, hot enjoyment of coffee, tea and the like for up to twelve hours, vacuum jugs are a must in the office, at parties or when having coffee with family and friends

But why does coffee actually stay hot in a vacuum jug?
