How does a self-inflating sleeping mat (selfinflating mat) work?
The inside of the mat is made of polyurethane foam, which compresses the air when rolled up. When the valve is opened, the foam absorbs oxygen and expands the inside of the mat. If necessary, some air can be added through the mouth until the maximum strength of the mat is reached.
